FACT, Families Against Cult Teachings, has published a Four-Part Series, Exposing Shambhala International and Naropa Cults, on their Facebook Page.

This is one of the few Anti-Cult sites and the only one in the United States who is also exposing Shambhala International and Naropa Institute as a dangerous cult and cult recruiting college.  As well as many other dangerous cults they expose that recruit by deception.

They also have a closed support group for those who wish to discuss without the usual Establishment Buddhist Swamp censoring what can be said about Buddhist cult leaders still on their protected list.

FACT  has taken on the Mother Lode Cult of Tibetan Buddhism, indirectly, by going after Shambhala International, the worst of the sexual abusing  Tibetan Lamaist groups,  and Naropa Institute, administered and/or staffed by SI  members and/or graduates of Naropa or Buddhists and/or Radical Left young people who have drunk the Tantric  Kool-Aid.  No one would be allowed to teach here if they hadn’t bought into groupthink of Tantra. So, of course, current members of Shambhala and Naropa are doing everything they can to demean this Anti-cult site, F.A.C.T. Their continued livelihoods depend on keeping a positive image of these two groups that overlap. Or they get to the whistleblowers, to keep them divided; because united they pose a more powerful threat.

Tibetan Tantra and particularly the Shambhala/Trungpa version never lets anyone go if they can help it.

They should realize that if they graduated from Naropa they probably have a class action suit worth in the billions, given what has gone in this Tantric college of ‘undue influence’ for the last forty years, pretending to be only ‘Buddhist inspired’while brainwashing their minds.

Trungpa Rinpoche, their founding father and guru/hero, sexual abuser extraordinaire, animal abuser and keeper of harems of young girls and women, was also an anti-democratic tyrant, prolific coke user, who died of alcoholism.  So his white-washed image, tied to Shambhala International and Naropa,  has been protected. Particularly, now that his son, the lineage holder of Naropa has pretended to ‘step down’  and is all over world news for his egregious behaviors.

This has always been a tactic of those inside cults, i.e.; to write negative reviews of those critical of their groups.  The same gaggle of reviewers gives five-star reviews for their cult leaders’ books.  A sure giveaway that these are review by cult members, similar to the phenomenon of  ‘family and friends’ reviews are how many quickly come in and  ‘find the reviews helpful’ to make them go to the top of the list.

These are cult families. Sexually abusive cult families, no less.  Their negative reviews are to make sure that ex-cult members of their groups are silenced and more people are bereft of this important  FACT group’s work and help.  

In fact,  FACT is the most important Anti-Cult site right now, because it has taken on  Goliath.     Head On.

Particularly, now that so many cults have ‘religious’ status, with their “new religious movement,” moniker that allows them to become non-transparent “churches.” No requirement to file 990s to see where their monies go.  This has caused an explosion of cults, and predatory gurus, lamas, priests and charlatans. That have become part of the Anti-Western movement inside out institutions.  The hidden enemy within.
